As Presidents doctoral scholar at University of Manchester, I studied RNA and Ribosome binding proteins in protein synthesis control in response to oxidative stress. Through presentations and SciArt, I enjoy presenting science to scientists, non-scientists, adults, and children. I've been conducting laboratory research for almost seven years, and in the next part of my career, I wish to work on drug development and RNA therapies.
In my lab, I promoted sustainability as lab's green lab champion and work with the University of Manchester Faculty of Environmental Sustainability to promote researcher engagement and produce sustainable practices materials for the divisional newsletter.
In conclusion, I anticipate working in translation research, refining my Science communication abilities, and focusing on and encouraging sustainable practices in the research labs, as quality research can only be accomplished if it is sustainable.
I wanted to get better at communicating my ideas and making connections during my PhD, but the Pandemic and the fact that I'm an introverted extrovert made it hard. This is why I've decided to start this website- to share my passion for science with the world and compile a wealth of resources for those interested in topics such as graduate school, careers, mental health, sustainability, science communication, diversity, and inclusion, as well as art and sci-art.
Thank you for visiting my webpage. Please read my blogs and other social media posts. I'm looking forward to connecting with you.
